Role Description The Rigging Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing rigging and lifting operations to ensure safe and efficient execution of work activities. Day-to-day tasks include planning and supervising lifting activities, inspecting lifting equipment and rigging gear, and confirming that all operations comply with relevant safety standards and company procedures. The role involves coordinating with site teams, crane operators, and other stakeholders, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring that personnel working at height or involved in lifting work follow approved methods and risk controls. The Rigging Supervisor will also maintain documentation, report incidents or near misses, support HSE audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of rigging and lifting practices on site.
Qualifications
- Qualification :- BTECH/BE or Diploma / BSC
- Specialization :- Mechanical / Civil / Electrical
- Course :- LEEA/LOLER/OPITO/TUV
- Exp :- 3 - 5 yrs of experience as rigging expert
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills to lead rigging teams, coordinate activities, and enforce safety and work standards.
- Candidates should possess experience in Rigging and Lifting Operations, including planning lifts, preparing lift plans, and overseeing critical and routine lifting tasks.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Lifting Equipment, including selection, inspection, maintenance checks, and proper use of cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, and other lifting accessories.
- Candidates should possess competence in Working at Height, including use of fall protection systems, adherence to permit-to-work processes, and application of relevant safety procedures.
- Candidates should preferably have formal training or certification in rigging and lifting operations (e.g., Rigging Supervisor/Foreman certification) and a strong understanding of applicable safety regulations and standards.
- Candidates should have good communication and reporting skills, the ability to read and interpret lift plans and technical drawings, and experience in construction, industrial, or oil and gas environments.
- Candidates should demonstrate a proactive safety mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary site teams.
