Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Customer Consultation: Welcome clients, understand their specific needs (budget, style, occasion), and guide them through suitable diamond, gold, or gemstone collections.
- Product Expertise: Articulate details regarding metal purity (karats), diamond grading (the 4 Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat), gemstone authenticity, and design craftsmanship.
- Sales & Upselling: Present high-value pieces, suggest complementary items (e.g., matching earrings for a necklace), and negotiate pricing or promotional offers to close sales.
- Clienteling & After-Sales: Maintain a client database to track anniversaries, birthdays, and custom orders, providing personalized service that drives repeat business.
- Store Operations: Handle inventory management, secure display placement, daily stock audits, and process repair/custom design requests.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Deep knowledge of precious metals, hallmarking, and gemological standards.
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and CRM software.
- High attention to security standards and detail in handling high-value merchandise.
