Role Overview
Are you passionate about developing innovative coconut-based products and driving product excellence from concept to commercialisation?
We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead research, product development, formulation, and process improvement initiatives within a growing coconut processing and food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new coconut-based products including coconut milk, coconut cream, fortified products, and customised ingredient solutions
- Drive product innovation, formulation development, and customer-specific solutions for domestic and export markets
- Manage the complete New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle from concept through commercial launch
- Conduct process optimisation initiatives across extraction, UHT processing, homogenisation, and aseptic manufacturing
- Lead shelf-life studies, product stability assessments, and packaging development projects
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Commercial teams to ensure successful product scale-up and commercialisation
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Food R&D, Product Development, Formulation, or Process Improvement.
- Direct experience in coconut milk, coconut cream, or coconut-based food ingredients is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food processing technologies, product development, food safety, and quality standards.
- Experience in UHT processing, aseptic manufacturing, and shelf-life studies will be a distinct advantage.
- Proven track record of taking products from concept to successful commercialisation.
