Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Bengaluru. The Reporter will cover construction-related news, company projects, and industry developments, producing clear and accurate stories for internal and external audiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering information from project sites, interviewing stakeholders, verifying facts, and writing news articles, features, and reports. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to understand timelines and milestones, supporting multimedia content such as photos or short video clips, and working with communication and marketing colleagues to align content with organizational goals. The Reporter is expected to meet deadlines, maintain high standards of accuracy, and follow ethical reporting practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Reporting and News Writing skills, with the ability to cover complex projects clearly and accurately.
- Excellent Communication and Writing abilities to craft compelling stories for diverse audiences.
- Experience with Multimedia content creation, such as photos, video clips, or basic audio recording, to support written reports.
- Attention to detail, strong research and fact-checking capabilities, and adherence to journalistic ethics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work on-site at construction locations, collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction or infrastructure sectors is an asset, as well as experience reporting on business or industry topics.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools for writing, content management, and collaboration (e.g., word processing, online publishing platforms).
