Role Description The Relationship Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Gurugram, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this position, the Relationship Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of clients, including salaried professionals, entrepreneurs, NRIs, and families, by understanding their financial goals and recommending suitable investment and protection solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client meetings (virtual and in-person), explaining mutual fund and other financial products, assisting with documentation and onboarding, and ensuring a high standard of service and compliance. The role involves regular follow-up to deepen relationships, tracking client portfolios, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve queries efficiently. The Relationship Manager will also contribute to financial awareness initiatives, support digital tools like Virasat, and maintain accurate records and reports in the company’s systems. RM will also liase with MFDs who are onboarded onto the platform.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong client relationship and customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build long-term trust.
- Candidates should possess sales and business development skills, such as prospecting, negotiation, and closing, with a focus on ethical, needs-based advisory.
- Candidates should possess financial advisory and investment knowledge, preferably in mutual funds, insurance, and basic tax and estate planning concepts.
- Candidates should possess communication and presentation skills, including clear spoken and written English and Hindi, plus the ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, including portfolio tracking, data interpretation, and accurate documentation and reporting.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, or a related field are preferred; certifications in mutual funds, financial planning, or insurance are an advantage.
- Prior experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, or fintech relationship management is highly beneficial, though motivated early-career
