Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients according to their individual care plans and clinical requirements.
- Assess and continuously monitor patients' vital signs, clinical condition, and response to treatment.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by the doctor.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes, medication records, patient charts, and other clinical documentation.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, treatments, and emergency situations.
- Identify and promptly report any deterioration or significant change in a patient's condition to the concerned doctor/senior nurse.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, infection prevention and control practices, and NABH standards.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover of patients during shift changes.
- Maintain patient safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Educate patients and their attendants regarding medication, treatment, procedures, and discharge instructions as required.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of nursing equipment and supplies.
- Follow biomedical waste management and safety protocols.
- Participate in emergency response, Code Blue, BLS/ALS activities, drills, and other hospital training programs.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing supervisors, technicians, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and a safe environment within the assigned clinical area.
- Report incidents, medication errors, patient safety concerns, and other clinical issues through the appropriate reporting system.
- Perform any other nursing-related duties assigned by the Nursing In-Charge/Supervisor or hospital management.
Qualifications- Education: GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Freshers may be considered; relevant hospital/clinical experience will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient care.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive during emergency situations.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain electronic/physical patient records.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, as per hospital requirements.
- Commitment to patient safety, professional ethics, confidentiality, and quality healthcare delivery.
