About the Role
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of both quality and regulatory work — equally comfortable on the shop floor and in a compliance dossier. This role sits at the intersection of product integrity and food safety regulation, and works closely with production, R&D, and procurement to keep things running right.
What You'll Do
- Own in-process and finished goods quality checks — Brix, pH, acidity, carbonation, microbial testing, and packaging inspection
- Manage FSSAI compliance end-to-end: label declarations, allergen statements, INS codes, % RDA, additive approvals, and meeting the conditions of the FSSAI licence
- Implement and maintain the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in line with applicable standards
- Lead internal audits and drive closure; support third-party and regulatory audits
- Maintain HACCP plans, GMP standards, and food safety documentation (SOPs, batch records, COAs, deviation logs)
- Track regulatory updates from FSSAI and BIS; assess and communicate impact on existing products
- Handle vendor qualification and customer complaint resolution, including CAPA
- Coordinate with R&D on new product launches for regulatory readiness and spec sign-off
What You Bring
Education
B.Sc. / B.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline
Experience
4–6 years in quality and/or regulatory role within food or beverage manufacturing
Must Have
Working knowledge of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, and food safety management systems (FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000)
Good to Have
FoSTaC certification; Internal Auditor certification for FSSC 22000 or ISO 22000
