Role Description The Quality Control Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. This role is responsible for inspecting gears and related components at various stages of production to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include performing dimensional and visual inspections, recording and analyzing inspection results, and identifying nonconformities. The inspector collaborates with production and quality teams to address defects, support root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining inspection documentation, following safety and quality procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Control and Inspection, with the ability to evaluate components against technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience or knowledge in Quality Assurance and Quality Management practices, including documentation, standards, and process compliance.
- Effective Communication skills to clearly report findings, collaborate with production teams, and escalate quality issues when needed.
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and understanding of tolerances.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Prior experience in gear manufacturing or precision component inspection is an advantage.
