Role Description The QC Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vapi, responsible for overseeing all quality control activities related to pigments, Turkey Red Oil, and antifoaming chemicals. The role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring QC procedures, ensuring that raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products meet defined quality standards and industry regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities involve supervising laboratory testing, reviewing analytical results, approving batches for dispatch, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports. The QC Manager will collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves managing and training QC staff, maintaining calibration and validation of instruments, and supporting customer audits and technical inquiries related to product quality.
Qualifications
- Strong background in quality control and quality assurance for chemical or pigment manufacturing, including knowledge of standard QC methodologies and documentation practices.
- Proficiency in laboratory testing techniques for pigments and chemical products, including use, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of analytical instruments.
- Experience in process control, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions within a production environment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for chemical manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Ability to lead and mentor QC teams, coordinate cross-functional communication, and collaborate effectively with production and management.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience in pigments, inks, coatings, or specialty chemicals is highly preferred; experience with Turkey Red Oil or antifoaming agents is an advantage.
