About Novetum
At Novetum, we design and deploy AI systems that operate within real business workflows — systems that think, decide, and execute. We work closely with companies to solve complex operational challenges using tailored, AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. As a QA Automation Testing Intern, you'll help make sure those systems ship reliably and hold up in production.
About the Role
We're looking for a QA Automation Testing Intern ready to take real responsibility for quality. This is a hands-on role: you'll help build and maintain our automated test suite with Playwright, contribute directly to shipping reliable software, and work closely with developers who'll mentor you along the way. You'll have visible impact on product quality from day one, with the opportunity to convert to full-time based on performance.
What You'll Do
- Design, write, and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Help keep the test suite healthy — reduce flakiness and expand coverage across critical user flows.
- Perform manual exploratory testing to catch issues automation might miss.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and track them through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to understand features and define test cases before and during development.
- Integrate and run tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Help establish and improve QA processes, documentation, and best practices.
- Communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to the team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience).
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, browser dev tools).
- Basic understanding of testing concepts (test cases, regression, edge cases, and the differences between unit, integration, and E2E testing).
- Strong attention to detail and a "find it before users do" mindset.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and figure things out.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or any automation framework.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Any prior QA or testing experience, personal projects, or coursework.
What You'll Gain
- Real responsibility for a core part of the product lifecycle.
- Mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Practical, resume-ready experience with a modern, in-demand automation stack.
- A clear view into how software is built, tested, and shipped.
