About the role:
we are looking for candidates who have a strong foundation in both automation and functional testing with 4 to 5 years of experience in testing. The ideal candidates should be capable of understanding complete business workflows, deriving test cases from requirements, performing comprehensive end-to-end testing, and ensuring overall product quality, also expected to independently own the testing process—including framework creation, automation strategy, and end-to-end validation
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Playwright
- TypeScript
- Java
- Strong expertise in automation framework design and development
- Experience with end-to-end test automation for web applications
- Version control systems (Git)
- CI/CD integration for automation execution is an added advantage
Functional & Manual Testing Skills
- Strong knowledge of Functional Testing and Manual Testing
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
- Experience in regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Strong defect reporting, root cause analysis, and validation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Independently design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Create, execute, and maintain automation scripts covering complete end-to-end business workflows across the product.
- Analyze functional requirements and derive comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform manual validation wherever automation is not feasible.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, feature validation, and release testing.
- Ensure high product quality through effective automation and functional testing.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Developers to identify issues early and improve test coverage.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation best practices.
