Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 3-8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation.
- Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG/JUnit.
- Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Solid understanding of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
