Compensation: ₹40,000–₹50,000 per month
Role: Full-time
Gytree is looking for a hands-on Key Account Manager to own and grow our Quick Commerce and marketplace business. We are looking for someone at the early-to-mid career level who already understands this ecosystem, has strong working relationships within key platforms, and has the ambition and capability to independently run and grow the vertical.
The person should have hands-on knowledge of platforms including Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon Now, Flipkart, BigBasket/BB Now, Nykaa and other emerging commerce platforms. They should understand the complete business cycle, from platform relationships and onboarding to logistics, inventory, advertising, pricing, promotions, data and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management and growth of Gytree across Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon Now, Flipkart, BigBasket/BB Now, Nykaa and other relevant commerce platforms.
- Have existing working relationships and contacts across Q-commerce and marketplace organisations, including category managers, account managers, buying teams and other relevant decision-makers, and be able to leverage these relationships to build the business.
- Act as the internal owner of the Q-commerce vertical, with the ability to independently manage platform relationships, operations, advertising, inventory, data and growth.
- Understand and manage the complete Q-commerce operating cycle including SKU onboarding, listings, inventory movement, purchase orders, replenishment, availability, warehousing and fulfilment.
- Ensure high product availability and minimise stock-outs across platforms, cities, warehouses and dark stores through regular monitoring, forecasting and proactive replenishment.
- Track inventory levels, sell-through, stock cover, ageing inventory, fast-moving SKUs and replenishment requirements on a daily basis.
- Understand Q-commerce advertising thoroughly and independently execute, monitor and optimise sponsored listings, search advertising, visibility campaigns and platform-specific advertising opportunities.
- Track advertising spends against revenue, ROAS, conversion, CAC and incremental sales to ensure advertising contributes to efficient and profitable growth.
- Own pricing, discounts, promotions, platform events and visibility opportunities while ensuring commercial decisions remain aligned with overall business objectives.
- Build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly dashboards covering revenue, units sold, SKU performance, inventory, availability, advertising spends, ROAS, pricing, promotions and platform-wise growth.
- Analyse performance by platform, SKU, geography and time period and identify where the business is growing, slowing down or losing potential sales.
- Maintain accurate datasets and records for sales, inventory, advertising, commercial terms, platform contacts, POs, claims and ongoing operational issues.
- Track competing brands across Q-commerce and marketplaces, including their assortment, pricing, promotions, visibility, advertising, new launches and platform presence, and convert these observations into actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to expand Gytree into new cities, dark stores, platforms, categories and consumer cohorts based on data and platform potential.
- Work closely with supply chain, operations, finance, marketing, performance marketing and content teams to ensure Q-commerce requirements are anticipated rather than managed reactively.
- Independently resolve platform issues including listing errors, stock mismatches, pricing discrepancies, PO issues, advertising problems, claims and operational escalations.
- Build and deepen relationships with platform account managers, category managers and commercial teams and actively pursue better visibility, campaigns, launches, placements and growth opportunities.
- Stay constantly updated on the Q-commerce ecosystem, including new platforms, advertising products, algorithms, fulfilment models, consumer behaviour, category trends and successful strategies being used by other consumer brands.
- Understand the economics of the vertical, including margins, platform commissions, advertising costs, discounts, logistics costs and contribution margins, and use this understanding to make better commercial decisions.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has actually worked within the Q-commerce and marketplace ecosystem, not someone whose experience has been limited to catalogue management or listing products.
The candidate should ideally bring existing relationships within Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket/BB Now, Nykaa or similar platforms and understand how to work with category managers, account managers and buying teams to get things moving.
They must be comfortable with numbers, Excel/Google Sheets, inventory planning, advertising dashboards and commercial conversations. They should be able to move comfortably between analysing yesterday's sales, solving today's stock problem and discussing next month's growth opportunity with a platform.
Most importantly, this person should have the ability and ambition to run the entire vertical and be part of the growth team. While this is not a senior leadership hire today, we are looking for someone who can take increasing ownership and grow into independently leading Gytree's Q-commerce and marketplace business.
Success in this role will be measured by: revenue growth, platform and city expansion, SKU availability, reduction in stock-outs, advertising efficiency, stronger platform relationships and visibility, accurate reporting, inventory health and the overall growth of Q-commerce as a meaningful business channel for Gytree.
