Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Python Automation Engineer role based in Bengaluru South. The Python Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline business and IT processes, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. The role involves integrating automation solutions with existing systems and APIs, implementing test automation for applications and services, and monitoring automated workflows to identify and resolve issues proactively. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, document automation workflows, and provide technical support and improvements over time. The position also includes maintaining clear code documentation, following best practices for version control and deployment, and contributing to continuous improvement of automation standards and frameworks.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Python programming skills, including experience with scripting, object-oriented programming, and working with standard libraries.
- Candidates should possess skills in automation frameworks and tools, such as test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and task scheduling or orchestration tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in API integration and data handling, including RESTful APIs, JSON/CSV processing, and database interaction (SQL or NoSQL).
- Candidates should possess skills in software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code review, debugging, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess skills in problem-solving and analysis, including the ability to understand business workflows, optimize processes, and troubleshoot automation issues.
- Relevant experience with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and basic networking concepts is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
