Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw herbs, extracts, spices and other raw materials.
- Identify, develop and manage reliable suppliers across India.
- Negotiate pricing, quality, payment terms and delivery timelines.
- Track market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC and Stores for material requirements.
- Ensure timely availability and appropriate inventory levels.
- Obtain and maintain required supplier and quality documentation.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement.
- Experience in herbal, Ayurvedic, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food or spices will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel/ERP.
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel for supplier/vendor visits when required.
