Job Responsibilities:
· To ensure material availability as per the design parameters and production target dates/ pre- defined
re- order levels, as the case may be.
· To manage domestic and import vendors for manufactured parts and bought out parts.
· To develop new vendors, to negotiate rates for materials and processes with new vendors and re-
negotiate rates with existing vendors.
· To work on process re-engineering from the perspective of improving quality and aesthetics while
reducing lead times and costs.
· Vendor Evaluation: Conduct assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and
reliability.
· Request for Quotation (RFQ) Creation: Draft and distribute RFQs to potential vendors, outlining the
specifications and requirements for products needed.
· Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions.
· Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure the purchased materials meet
all necessary quality metrics.
· Order Management: Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery,
ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
· Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers for long-term
partnership and potential cost savings.
· Technical Liaison: Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to
clarify technical specifications or resolve issues.
Education:
· B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
Experience:
· Exp: 3 to 5yrs of Procurement in Heavy Industrial Machine Manufacturing Company
Residence:
· In Vicinity or Near Mira Road / Thane or in Western Line
