Role Description The Project Manager – Engineering, Procurement and Construction (Ground Mount) will lead end-to-end project execution for ground-mounted installations, coordinating engineering design, procurement activities, construction schedules, and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Surat and involves managing project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk registers, while ensuring compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will collaborate with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and site contractors, oversee expediting of materials and equipment, and resolve bottlenecks in logistics and site operations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring progress through inspections and reports, conducting coordination meetings, preparing status updates for stakeholders, and driving corrective actions to keep projects on track. The role also requires continuous improvement of processes and supporting senior leadership with project forecasting, resource planning, and client communication.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and risk management.
- Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to track orders, follow up with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify installation quality, ensure adherence to technical specifications, and document site observations.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate transportation, warehousing, and site deliveries for ground-mount EPC projects.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; a project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Experience in EPC projects, preferably in ground-mount solar or similar infrastructure, with knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities, with proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage contractors, and work on-site in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
