Position Overview
Frank & Peekay LLP is seeking a senior, hands-on SAP EWM Project Manager to spearhead and govern an end-to-end SAP EWM plant implementation at a major manufacturing facility in Jhagadia, Gujarat.
In this role, you will lead overall project execution, serve as the vital bridge between plant operational stakeholders and the System Integrator (SI) implementation team, track risk and milestone governance, and ensure seamless shop-floor cutover and Go-Live delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project Governance: Drive overall project delivery, sprint planning, milestone adherence, and budget tracking across all implementation phases (Explore, Realize, Testing, Cutover, and Hypercare).
- Stakeholder & Vendor Orchestration: Act as the primary liaison between plant operations, warehouse process leads, and external implementation partners/consultants to resolve scope disputes, eliminate blockers, and drive consensus.
- Warehouse Process Oversight: Provide functional leadership across core EWM areas—inbound logistics, storage type/bin architecture, putaway strategies, pick/pack/ship workflows, POSC/LOSC, and physical inventory.
- Shop-Floor & System Integration: Oversee technical and process integration with peripheral warehouse touchpoints, including RF scanning devices, barcode infrastructure, production staging (PP/EWM), and cross-module handoffs (MM, SD, PP).
- Testing & Readiness Governance: Lead and structure User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end-to-end integration cycles, master data migration/cleansing, and key user training programs.
- Cutover & Go-Live Management: Define and execute the comprehensive cutover schedule, coordinate weekend physical stock count/migration activities, and manage post-launch stabilization/hypercare support.
- Risk & Decision Tracking: Proactively identify project dependencies, highlight functional/technical risks, and facilitate rapid operational decision-making to maintain project deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Overall Experience: Minimum 8–12+ years of core experience in SAP Supply Chain/Logistics, with at least 5+ years dedicated to SAP EWM/WM.
- Implementation Track Record: Proven background delivering at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP EWM implementations (Embedded or Decentralized on S/4HANA), preferably in manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial plant environments.
- Project Management Expertise: Solid background in project governance methodologies (SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall), with hands-on experience managing project schedules, raid logs, and cutover checklists.
- Communication & Change Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to navigate shop-floor change management, train non-technical plant operators, and report executive status updates to senior leadership.
- Mobility: Strict willingness and readiness to be stationed full-time onsite at the Jhagadia plant for the 6-month duration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience managing shop-floor operations or cutovers within heavy engineering, chemicals, energy, or continuous process plants.
- SAP Certified Application Associate / Professional in SAP S/4HANA EWM.
- Formal project management credentials (PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP).
