Job Description
Lead end-to-end operations of an integrated cement plant, ensuring achievement of production, quality, cost, safety, environmental, and profitability targets. Drive operational excellence, equipment reliability, process optimization, sustainability, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations covering quarry, raw mill, kiln, cement mill, packing, and dispatch.
- Achieve production, quality, efficiency, and cost targets.
- Drive TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure high equipment availability and effective maintenance practices.
- Optimize fuel, power, refractory, grinding media, and production costs.
- Ensure safety, environmental, statutory, and ISO compliance.
- Monitor process parameters and maintain clinker/cement quality.
- Manage budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, inventory, and plant performance.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, sales, finance, HR, and corporate teams.
- Develop plant leadership, employee engagement, and succession plans.
- Drive sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency, alternative fuels, WHR, and carbon reduction.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Cement Technology Engineering.
- MBA/PG qualification preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in cement manufacturing.
- 5+ years in Plant Head/Unit Head/Operations Head or similar senior leadership role.
- Experience managing 2–5 MTPA+ integrated cement plants.
- Strong expertise in kiln operations, process optimization, maintenance, quality, cost management, and projects.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, financial, people-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven track record in safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
