Saare Tare Zameen Par Trust is a pan-India non-profit organisation committed to making STEM education practical, engaging and accessible to students, especially those in government and underserved schools.
We bring science and technology closer to children through Innovation STEM Labs, Mobile Science Labs, Digital Planetariums, AI & Robotics, STEM kits and hands-on learning programmes. Our initiatives encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and scientific thinking.
Through our long-term Spark of Curiosity initiative, we work with schools to create sustained opportunities for students to learn beyond textbooks and develop confidence in Science and Mathematics.
We collaborate with schools, government institutions, corporates and CSR partners to create meaningful and scalable impact across India.
Location: Bengaluru
Saare Tare Zameen Par Trust is looking for a motivated and organised Project Coordinator to support the planning, implementation and monitoring of our CSR-supported education projects.
The role involves working closely with schools, students, teachers, CSR partners, vendors and internal teams. The candidate will also support our fundraising and donor engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Implementation
· Identify Government and other schools for CSR-supported projects.
· Conduct school visits and need assessments to understand infrastructure, educational and STEM learning requirements.
· Coordinate with school management, teachers and other stakeholders for smooth implementation of projects.
· Support planning, execution and monitoring of CSR projects.
· Coordinate with vendors for quotations, procurement, delivery, installation and project-related requirements.
· Ensure project activities are implemented as per approved plans and timelines.
· Travel to project locations and schools as required.
2. STEM Education & Student Engagement
· Conduct and demonstrate simple, engaging and hands-on STEM experiments for school students.
· Support the implementation of STEM, Science, Mathematics, Astronomy and Space Science activities.
· Assist in conducting activities such as:
· Hands-on science experiments
· STEM challenges and innovation activities
· Astronomy and Space Science sessions
· Science quizzes and competitions
· STEM clubs and student engagement programmes
· Robotics, coding and technology-based activities, wherever applicable
· Engage students and encourage curiosity, questioning, experimentation and problem-solving.
· Support Science Communicators and educators during school programmes and events.
· Be comfortable explaining scientific concepts in a simple, interesting and student-friendly manner.
3. Reporting & Documentation
· Maintain proper project documentation and activity records.
· Collect photographs, beneficiary details, activity data and other project evidence.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for CSR partners and internal review.
· Assist in preparing presentations, project updates, impact stories and donor communication materials.
· Track project progress, deliverables and key impact indicators.
4. Financial & Administrative Coordination
· Coordinate with the Accounts team for:
· Donation receipts
· Vendor invoices and payments
· Utilisation Certificates (UCs)
· Project expenditure and supporting documents
· Maintain proper records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices and other project-related documents.
· Support project budget tracking and financial documentation.
5. CSR & Fundraising Support
· Support the identification of potential CSR and funding opportunities.
· Assist in preparing project concept notes, proposals and presentations.
· Coordinate with prospective donors and CSR partners for information and documentation requirements.
· Support follow-ups related to fundraising opportunities and project proposals.
· Assist in organising CSR partner visits, project inaugurations and volunteer engagement activities.
Key Requirements
· Science Graduate (B.Sc. or equivalent) preferred.
· Candidates with an MSW or relevant qualification may also be considered.
· Strong and relevant experience in CSR, NGO projects, education, STEM programmes or project coordination will be an advantage.
· Ability and interest in conducting hands-on STEM experiments and science demonstrations.
· Basic understanding of Science and STEM concepts.
· Ability to explain concepts in a simple and engaging manner to school students.
· Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
· Comfortable interacting with students, teachers, school management, vendors and CSR partners.
· Good documentation and report-writing skills.
· Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
· Ability to manage multiple activities and follow timelines.
· Willingness to travel for school visits and project implementation.
· A proactive, organised and responsible approach to work.
· Interest in education, STEM, Science, Astronomy and social impact.
