Position Overview
At Vera Solutions, we are looking for a Program Manager who can bring structure, clarity, and accountability to the delivery of our technology initiatives. We are looking for someone who goes beyond tracking progress and can bring sound judgment, challenges assumptions and continuously improves how teams work together.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to drive shared outcomes across products and delivery teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Program Ownership & Delivery
- Own end-to-end program delivery across multiple technology initiatives, from planning and execution through release and closure against agreed timelines, scope and quality expectations.
- Translate priorities into realistic delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and commitments while monitoring real-time risks and dependencies along with their mitigation plans.
- Continually partner with functional leads on building a predictable delivery environment while also giving space to experimentation and innovation.
Cross-functional Stakeholder Alignment
- Continually work to obtain clarity on expectations, responsibilities, dependencies and risks across the chain, across levels.
- Facilitate timely decision-making and constructively challenge assumptions, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Most importantly consistently maintain transparent communication across the workstreams.
Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and strengthen delivery practices that improve predictability, efficiency, quality, and accountability.
- Proactively identify and manage program risks, bottlenecks, and operational challenges.
- Use delivery tools like KPIs, retrospectives and team insights to drive meaningful process improvements while also supporting the AI-led delivery transition.
Program Leadership & Team Enablement
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, transparency and growth-mindset.
- Enable teams to operate effectively by introducing the right level of structure and clarity with kindness and resilience.
- Contribute to broader technology initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and delivery maturity.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Project or Program Management within software development or technology environments.
- Proven experience independently driving multiple complex initiatives involving cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, and release management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency with project planning platforms and reporting tools.
Desired
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools or evolving AI-enabled delivery practices.
- Exposure to SaaS product development, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Familiarity with APIs, Git workflows, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
- PMP, PSM, CSM, or equivalent certification.
