About the Role
St. Mary’s University, Hyderabad is seeking a qualified and passionate Professor of Mathematics and applied Physics to join its academic team. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students, developing engaging course content, conducting academic activities, and supporting students in their mathematical and analytical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lectures in Mathematics and Physics and related subjects.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, examinations, and laboratory/tutorial activities.
- Guide and mentor students in their academic development.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, and university activities.
- Contribute to research, publications, conferences, and other scholarly activities.
- Support curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching methods.
- Encourage problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical thinking among students.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of undergraduate Mathematics.
- Previous teaching experience at a college or university is preferred.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to use modern teaching technologies and digital learning tools.
- Strong interest in student mentoring and academic development.
