JOB SUMMARY
Superflow Pumps Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and responsible Production Supervisor to manage and supervise day-to-day production activities in our centrifugal pump manufacturing unit.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in pump manufacturing, machining, pump assembly, production planning and manpower handling. Candidates with experience in centrifugal pumps, industrial pumps, engineering products, rotating equipment or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage daily production activities in the centrifugal pump manufacturing unit.
- Plan and monitor production activities according to daily and weekly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned time while maintaining required quality standards.
- Supervise machining, fabrication, pump assembly, testing and finishing activities.
- Handle and monitor shop-floor operations involving CNC, VMC, Lathe, Drilling and Grinding machines.
- Allocate manpower to machines and production activities as per workload and production requirements.
- Supervise Machine Operators, Helpers, Fitters and other production staff.
- Monitor production output, rejection, rework, machine utilization and downtime.
- Ensure manufacturing of pump components as per approved drawings, dimensions and specifications.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance and Assembly departments for smooth production.
- Ensure required raw materials, components, tools and consumables are available for production.
- Monitor machining and manufacturing of major pump components such as:
- Pump Casing
- Impeller
- Shaft
- Bearing Housing / Bracket
- Base Plate
- Coupling
- Mechanical Seal Components
- Other pump components
- Handle materials such as Cast Iron, Cast Steel, MS, SS304, SS316 and other engineering materials.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for in-process inspection and final quality requirements.
- Identify production issues and take appropriate corrective action in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower records and machine-wise production records.
- Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping, safety and discipline on the shop floor.
- Ensure operators follow proper machine operating procedures and safety instructions.
- Monitor machine and tool requirements and coordinate with Maintenance for machine-related issues.
- Improve production efficiency, reduce rejection/rework and optimize manpower and machine utilization.
- Report daily production status, issues and pending activities to management.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of centrifugal pump manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Practical knowledge of pump components and their manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of CNC, VMC, Lathe, Drilling and Grinding operations.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining processes, measurements and basic manufacturing techniques.
- Good manpower handling and team management skills.
- Ability to plan and monitor production schedules.
- Good coordination skills with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Planning and Maintenance.
- Ability to identify and resolve shop-floor production problems.
- Basic knowledge of quality inspection and measuring instruments.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting will be an advantage.
- Strong focus on productivity, quality, safety and timely production.
QUALIFICATION
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
2–5 years of relevant experience in any of the following industries:
- Centrifugal Pump Manufacturing
- Industrial Pump Manufacturing
- Engineering Manufacturing
- Rotating Equipment Manufacturing
- Heavy Engineering
- Machine Shop / Machining
- Pump Assembly
Immediate Joiners Preferred.
