Role Description The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Polygon Papertech facility in New Delhi in a contract, hybrid role, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning and reporting tasks. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, coordinating staff and resources, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Production Manager will monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to optimise efficiency and reduce waste. This role also involves tracking key performance indicators, preparing regular reports for leadership, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in production management, operations supervision, or manufacturing leadership within FMCG, packaging, or related industries.
- Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production targets and timelines.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, hygiene standards, and safety regulations in food-grade or disposable product manufacturing.
- Ability to analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement and cost-optimisation measures.
- Proficiency in using production management tools or ERP systems and basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and people management skills, including team coordination, conflict resolution, and training of production staff.
- Understanding of sustainable manufacturing practices and an interest in eco-friendly products and environmental responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in New Delhi, with flexibility to be on-site as production needs require.
