Role Description The Senior Merchandiser will oversee end-to-end merchandising activities for retail and sales channels, ensuring product assortments, pricing, and promotions align with business objectives. This full-time, on-site role is based in the Greater Delhi Area and involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to plan seasonal ranges, monitor inventory, and optimize product display and placement. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing sales data and market trends, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise. The Senior Merchandiser will work with marketing and retail teams to develop in-store and visual merchandising strategies that drive customer engagement and revenue. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to strategic planning for new product lines and categories.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to present merchandising plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Customer Service and Retail experience, with a focus on understanding shopper behavior and improving in-store experiences.
- Sales and Marketing skills to support revenue growth, promotional planning, and brand visibility.
- Proven experience in merchandising, category management, or retail planning, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG sectors.
- Ability to analyze sales reports, inventory data, and market trends to make data-driven merchandising decisions.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities, including experience with purchase orders and supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and relevant retail or ERP systems for planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience guiding or mentoring merchandising or retail teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
