This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to shape the future of digital banking. As a
Product Owner at SBS, you will play a critical role in defining product strategy, building
roadmaps, and driving the successful delivery of innovative banking solutions used by
financial institutions around the world.
Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and other key
stakeholders, you will translate business needs into product capabilities, prioritize
features, and guide cross-functional Agile teams through the full product lifecycle. You
will combine deep functional expertise with strong stakeholder management skills to
ensure solutions deliver value for our clients while supporting business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in digital banking,
product delivery, and Agile methodologies who thrives in a collaborative environment
and is passionate about building high-quality, customer-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
• Use your deep functional understanding for contribution to the business design
for the product.
• Contributing to defining product roadmap and supporting end to end delivery of
the product releases & communication with different stakeholders
• Build software products for banking and financing institutions with R&D teams
that are openly collaborative, are non-hierarchical, respect contributions and
work with agility
• Enable, empower, and encourage teams for continuous improvement of
functional and domain understanding
• Challenging and supporting people and engineering practices to improve the
quality of product
• Supporting governance of product team to ensure quality and efficiency of
solutions
• Act as a mentor to team and reinforce organizational values and culture
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in Computer Science, or related
technical field, or equivalent additional professional experience.
• Hands on experience in delivering solutions from concept to production with
understanding on Digital Banking solutions in global organizations.
• 11-15 years of industry experience in design, development, operations and
managing functional perspectives of solutions.
• Excellent functional and domain knowledge with exposure to Techno-Functional
Solution binding
• Strong communicator with ability to collaborate, build relationships, and support
in achieving broader organizational goals.
• Good exposure on working with large enterprise grade components
• Good experience and understanding of working in an agile environment
• Good understanding of building Product Roadmaps, Release Plans etc
• Self-starter, who can take initiatives and get things done with minimal guidance
• Prior experience on microservices based architecture and cloud-based solutions
is a plus
• Prior experience in Banking or financing domain is a plus but not necessary
