Sapiensu is hiring a product management and engineering intern.
Sapiensu reads the public record on a company or an individual. It returns findings a deal team can act on, and still defend six months later in front of an investment committee, a lender or a regulator.

THE ROLE
One person doing two jobs.
You will write and ship code in the product. You will also work on the product itself: sitting in customer conversations, reading back what was said, and helping decide what gets built next.
This is not a shadowing role. The product is built and in use by external testers.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE WORKING ON
Engineering
- Building and shipping features in the web app, in React and TypeScript.
- Working on how each finding carries its evidence: the source behind it, how reliable that source is, and when it was found.
- Backend and data work, including the model API calls that turn sources into findings. Every output has to trace back to a source. If it cannot, it does not ship.
Product
- Customer development with a waitlist who signed up before there was a product to show them. Part of the job is working out which of them we should build for.
- Sitting in user conversations and turning what you hear into decisions about what we build next.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Evidence that you have built something and finished it. A side project, a tool, a repository. It does not have to be polished and it does not have to be in our domain.
- Genuine curiosity about why people behave as they do, and the willingness to change your mind when a user contradicts you.
- Comfort in a very small team with no structured onboarding and no training programme.
- Interest in why a finding has to survive being challenged six months after it is written.
You do not need prior experience in finance, law or diligence.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Comfort with React and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of at least one of Python, Rust or Go.
- Some exposure to backend work, data work or LLM APIs.
TERMS
- Three months, full-time, in person in Bengaluru.
- Stipend commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Starting as soon as possible.
If you perform well, there is a real possibility of a full-time role at the end of the internship. We would rather state it that way than promise something we cannot guarantee in advance.
