Role Description
As a Software Engineer Intern at Flickit.app, you will support the development and maintenance of our AI-driven sports analytics platform in a full-time capacity. You will work on back-end services and APIs, assist in building scalable, reliable features, and contribute to integrating computer vision and data processing workflows. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient code, debugging and troubleshooting issues, collaborating with engineers and data scientists, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. This is an on-site role based in Bengaluru, where you will work closely with the team to iterate on product features, improve performance, and help deliver a seamless experience to athletes and coaches.
What you'll work on
- Develop and maintain backend APIs and services using Node.js and Express.
- Work with databases and implement data-related functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across backend and mobile applications.
- Build and integrate REST APIs with mobile applications.
- Work with AWS services for application deployment and backend infrastructure.
- Understand and contribute to existing production codebases.
- Collaborate with developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality.
- Write clean, maintainable and reusable code.
- Learn and work with technologies that may be new to you.
Required skills
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals.
- Comfortable with at least one programming language
- Basic understanding of backend development and REST APIs.
- Understanding of databases and basic CRUD operations.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to read and understand an existing codebase.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Good to have
- Experience with Node.js and Express.
- Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or another database.
- Understanding of HTTP, JSON, asynchronous programming and API design.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience developing applications with Flutter/Dart.
- Basic understanding of Python.
- Exposure to Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or AI.
- Experience with Firebase or other cloud/backend services.
