Role Description The Product Development Technical Leader at CREAT UNO MINDA will oversee end-to-end product development activities for advanced automotive technologies, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project requirements. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves leading cross-functional engineering teams, coordinating design, development, validation, and product assurance activities, and driving innovation in areas such as cockpit electronics, safety technologies, and embedded systems. The role includes planning and reviewing technical roadmaps, guiding R&D efforts, resolving complex engineering issues, and ensuring that products meet performance, safety, and quality standards. The Technical Leader will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support laboratory and testing operations, and contribute to continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data, solve complex engineering problems, and make informed design and development decisions.
- Laboratory skills for overseeing tests, validation activities, and product assurance processes in automotive and embedded electronics environments.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) to drive innovation, manage prototypes, and translate concepts into robust, scalable products.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical findings, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Quality control expertise to ensure products comply with safety, regulatory, and performance standards, and to implement continuous improvement practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field).
- Proven experience in product development leadership within automotive, embedded systems, or related technology domains.
- Knowledge of automotive standards, validation methodologies, and product lifecycle management tools.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and work effectively in an on-site, collaborative environment.
- Product experience on Automotive wireless charger is added advantage.
