Role Description The Precast Tekla Modeler will be responsible for developing accurate 3D models of precast concrete elements in Tekla Structures, including assemblies, connections, and reinforcement details, in line with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day work includes interpreting engineering drawings, coordinating with design and detailing teams, preparing shop drawings and reports, and updating models based on review comments and design changes. The role involves collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve modeling issues, ensure quality control, and meet schedule and delivery requirements. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Kolkata Area, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for precast modeling, including 3D modeling of panels, beams, columns, slabs, and connections.
- Solid understanding of precast concrete detailing standards, reinforcement detailing, and construction drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
- Experience in coordinating with engineers, detailers, and project teams to resolve design and detailing queries.
- Attention to detail and quality, with experience in checking models and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in related software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM platforms) is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant precast/Tekla certification or training is preferred.
- Prior experience in precast detailing or AEC industry projects, especially industrial, commercial, or infrastructure structures, is beneficial.
