Role Description The Pre Building Engineer Specialist (Mechanical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves conducting pre-building mechanical assessments, reviewing design and installation plans, and ensuring that mechanical systems align with safety standards and facility requirements. The specialist will oversee building mechanical maintenance readiness, support plumbing and HVAC evaluations, and coordinate with project teams to plan preventive maintenance activities. Daily responsibilities include inspecting mechanical infrastructure, identifying potential issues before commissioning, preparing technical reports, and recommending improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. The role also requires close collaboration with facility management teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure proper documentation and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Building Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for mechanical systems.
- Practical skills in Plumbing and Maintenance & Repair of mechanical infrastructure.
- Background in Facility Management (FM) with exposure to safety and compliance practices.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and building codes.
- Proficiency in using relevant maintenance tools, inspection equipment, and documentation software.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work on-site in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Prior experience in safety audits, commissioning, or pre-construction engineering is an advantage.
