Role: Hadoop Support Engineer – L1/L2
Experience: 6+ years
Location: Remote / US shift support
Shift: Rotational, U.S. daytime hours; on-call support required
Key Skills:
- Hadoop 3.x, HDFS, YARN, ResourceManager, NodeManager, ZooKeeper
- Apache Ambari administration
- Apache Spark, Hive, LLAP, Tez
- Apache Ranger, Kerberos, LDAP/Active Directory
- Linux/Unix production support
- OneFS / Isilon storage
- Acceldata ODP preferred
- Trino/Presto preferred
- Monitoring: Acceldata Pulse, SolarWinds
- L1/L2 production support, incident management, RCA, SLA/ITSM
- Cluster administration, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, node commissioning/decommissioning
- Shell/Python scripting
- Databricks basic job/cluster monitoring and Spark troubleshooting
Environment: Large-scale on-prem Hadoop ecosystem, 700–800 nodes and ~4 PB storage.
