PHP Laravel Intern

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic PHP Laravel Intern to join our development team. This internship is a great opportunity for freshers or aspiring backend developers who want to gain hands-on experience working on real-world web applications using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, REST APIs, and Git.
You will work closely with experienced developers, contribute to live projects, learn industry-standard development practices, and strengthen your backend development skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-structured code.
- Work with MySQL databases, including creating and managing tables, queries, and relationships.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs.
- Assist in implementing new features and improving existing functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Perform basic testing and fix bugs identified during development and QA.
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery when required for backend/frontend integration.
- Use Git/GitHub for version control and code management.
- Follow coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and project coordinators to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and tools used in the projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or currently pursuing the same.
- Good understanding of PHP fundamentals and OOP concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Laravel framework.
- Basic understanding of MySQL and SQL queries.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub.
- Good problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and work on real-world projects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Laravel MVC architecture.
- Understanding of Eloquent ORM and Laravel migrations.
- Basic knowledge of authentication and authorization.
- Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Familiarity with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- Any academic, personal, or freelance project using PHP/Laravel.
