Role Description The PD Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur, responsible for managing product development and merchandising activities from concept to shipment. The role involves coordinating with buyers and internal teams on styles, samples, approvals, while ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and customer specifications. Daily tasks include tracking orders, monitoring production status, preparing and updating technical packs, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports. The PD Merchandiser will collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to align product development with market trends and client requirements, and will support pricing, negotiations, and order follow-up to achieve business and customer satisfaction targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail expertise to understand market demands, buyer expectations, and product positioning.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product presentation, brand consistency, and buyer-focused merchandising strategies.
- Relevant experience in textile or apparel merchandising, preferably in export-oriented units.
- Knowledge of garment production processes, fabric types, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple styles and orders, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP or order management systems.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Apparel Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
