Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a PCB Design Engineer based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The PCB Design Engineer will translate system and circuit requirements into detailed board layouts, including component placement, routing, and stack-up definitions. Daily activities include working closely with hardware and embedded engineers, reviewing schematics, performing design rule checks, and optimizing designs for signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability. The role also involves preparing fabrication and assembly files, collaborating with vendors, supporting prototype bring-up and testing, and resolving design-related issues throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will contribute to design documentation, adhere to quality and safety standards, and participate in design reviews to improve overall system performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Circuit Design and Electrical Engineering, with experience translating system requirements into practical board-level implementations.
- Proficiency in Analog circuit design, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and mixed-signal interfaces.
- Hands-on expertise in Board Layout, including multilayer PCB design, component placement, routing, and stack-up planning using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) design principles, including impedance control, RF routing, and layout considerations for high-speed and wireless applications.
- Experience with PCB manufacturing processes, DFM/DFT guidelines, and creation of fabrication/assembly documentation (Gerber, ODB++, BOM, assembly drawings).
- Ability to perform basic signal integrity and power integrity checks, and collaborate with test and validation teams to debug and refine designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in PCB design or RF design are an advantage.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams on-site.
