Painting Inspector – Coating Inspection
Location: Gujarat, India
Project/Client: Tata Projects / Welspun
Work Location: Welspun – Anjar Plant

Salary: ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,50,000 per month
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Painting Inspector / Coating Inspector for a project in Gujarat, with strong hands-on experience in industrial coating inspection and specific exposure to CWC, 3LPE and 2LPE coating systems.
The ideal candidate should have NACE Level 2 certification and preferably have prior experience working at the Welspun Anjar Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of painting and coating activities in accordance with approved specifications, procedures and project requirements.
- Inspect CWC, 3LPE and 2LPE coating applications at relevant stages of the coating process.
- Verify surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions and coating application parameters.
- Monitor coating application and ensure compliance with approved coating procedures and specifications.
- Perform/check coating inspection activities including DFT, surface profile, visual inspection and holiday detection, as applicable.
- Review coating-related inspection records, test reports and quality documentation.
- Identify coating defects, deviations and non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure inspection activities comply with applicable project quality standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, production and project teams to resolve coating-related quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
- NACE Level 2 certification – Mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in CWC coating inspection.
- Hands-on experience in 3LPE coating inspection.
- Hands-on experience in 2LPE coating inspection.
- Experience in industrial/pipeline coating inspection.
- Strong understanding of coating inspection procedures, surface preparation and coating quality requirements.
Highly Preferred
- Previous experience working with Welspun – Anjar Plant.
- Experience on major pipeline/coating projects.
- Experience working in a high-volume fabrication/coating plant environment.
- Familiarity with client/project-specific coating inspection requirements.
Compensation
₹1,00,000 – ₹1,50,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
