Role Description The Orthopaedic Surgeon at MediVaah will provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including assessment, diagnosis, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of orthopedic conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, planning and performing orthopedic and spine-related procedures, and managing pre-operative and post-operative care. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design individualized treatment plans, ensuring evidence-based practice, and maintaining detailed medical records. The surgeon will also educate patients and families on treatment options, rehabilitation, and preventive care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madurai.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine with expertise in Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery.
- Proficiency in performing a range of Surgery procedures, including trauma and elective orthopedic interventions.
- Specialized skills in Spine evaluation and management within the orthopedic scope.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Orthopedics (MS/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical registration in India.
- Demonstrated experience in hospital or clinical orthopedic practice, including operative and non-operative care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with patients and families.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and willingness to engage with digital health platforms such as MediVaah.
