Job Overview
- Role: Order Taker Captain / F&B Service Captain
- Department: Food & Beverage (F&B)
- Reports To: Cafe Manager or F&B Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Know the entire food and drink menu well to answer questions.
- Suggest daily specials, coffee combos, or high-margin items to boost sales.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS terminal.
- Pass special dietary requirements, food allergies, and custom requests clearly to the kitchen.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Train new crew members on order taking, table setup, and service standards.
- Monitor food delivery times and table clearing to maintain a fast flow.
- Good communication and polite speaking skills.
- Friendly, active, and clean personal presentation.
- Ability to stand and walk for long hours during busy shifts.
- Prior experience in a cafe, restaurant, or fast-casual dining environment is helpful.
