Role Overview: The 4-Pillar Operations Lead
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-driven Operations & Compliance Lead to own and manage our complete operational ecosystem across 4 Core Pillars:
Backend Compliance Engine Creation: Building and updating product-by-country export/import rules for 41 destination countries.
Seller & KYB Onboarding: Vetting merchant exporters, checking licenses, and verifying product export permits.
Product Vetting & Trade Moderation: Ensuring quality standards, masking sensitive trader info on RFQs/Quotes to protect platform integrity.
Logistics Vendor Onboarding & Freight Execution: Onboarding 3PL/CHA partners, approving shipping quotes, and overseeing end-to-end export execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance Rules Engine & Data Management
Map out mandatory export/import documentation, test reports (MRL, Phytosanitary, Health Certificates), and HSN tariffs for 24 key commodity groups across 41 target countries.
Define clear regulatory checklists for sellers based on selected destination countries.
2. Seller & Product Onboarding Vetting
Conduct KYB/KYC verification for sellers registering on the platform.
Audit and approve seller product listings—verifying export permits, FSSAI/APEDA registrations, and quality compliance.
3. RFQ & Trade Quotation Moderation
Moderate buyer RFQs and seller responses to ensure compliance and prevent platform disintermediation (verifying quotes do not disclose seller direct contact details).
Approve verified seller quotations before buyer cart checkout.
4. Logistics Vendor Onboarding & Freight Management
Onboard and manage freight forwarders, CHAs, and logistics vendors on the platform.
Receive buyer shipping requests, invite logistics vendor quotes, evaluate/approve optimal freight quotes, and ensure seamless customs clearance, loading, export/import handling, and final delivery.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in EXIM operations, export compliance, customs clearance (ICEGATE/DGFT), freight forwarding, and agri-commodity trade.
Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in EXIM, Logistics, Food Technology, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related fields.
Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of Indian export regulations (FSSAI, APEDA, Spices Board, Plant Quarantine) and international trade entry barriers.
Execution Mindset: Highly structured, comfortable creating database matrixes, working in fast-paced operational shifts, and taking end-to-end ownership.
