- Administer Optometry and Genetics patients undergoing surgical procedures: It is responsible for administering the appropriate type and dosage of anesthesia to patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Monitor the patient's vital signs throughout surgery: During the surgical procedure, the closely monitors the patient's vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels to ensure they remain stable and within a safe range.
- Manage pain relief post-surgery: After the surgical procedure is complete, the is responsible for managing the patient's pain relief and ensuring their comfort as they recover from the effects of anesthesia.
- Collaborate with surgical team members: The works closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Skills And Expectations
- Must have a degree in medicine or pharmacy: Candidates for this role must have a Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS), Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Science (B.Sc), Engineering (B.E), or Veterinary Science (BVSC).
- Strong attention to detail: An must be detail-oriented to carefully monitor the patient's vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed during surgery.
