Role Description The On Site Engineer – ELV Data Centre will oversee and execute day-to-day ELV and low voltage systems work within data centre projects in Mumbai. This full-time on-site role includes supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems such as structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, and IT networks, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards. The engineer will coordinate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives, prepare and maintain technical documentation, and support site inspections and quality checks. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting system issues, supporting maintenance activities, monitoring safety and regulatory compliance, and providing regular progress updates. The role requires hands-on involvement at the data centre site to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong ELV and data centre infrastructure skills, including experience with structured cabling, fiber optic systems, CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and BMS integration.
- Candidates should possess electrical engineering skills, covering HT/LT electrical installations, power distribution, grounding and earthing practices, and reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- Candidates should possess IT and networking skills, including familiarity with active/passive network components, data centre layouts, basic TCP/IP concepts, and coordination with IT teams.
- Candidates should possess project execution and site management skills, such as planning daily work, supervising contractors, managing materials, monitoring timelines, and maintaining installation quality.
- Candidates should possess documentation and compliance skills, including preparation of site reports, test reports, as-built drawings, and adherence to safety standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, consultants, and internal teams, and to escalate issues
