Company Description Nest provides comprehensive assessments and therapies for children with developmental challenges, including Autism, ADHD, and Down Syndrome. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based at NIARC in Koyilandy. The Occupational Therapist will assess children’s functional abilities, sensory needs, and developmental levels, and develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and play skills, and documenting progress using standardized tools and clinical observations. The role involves educating families on home-based activities, assistive devices, and strategies that support daily living skills, as well as participating in regular review meetings and progress conferences. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to program development, maintain accurate records, and uphold ethical and safety standards in all interventions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based pediatric practice.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Rehabilitation to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
- Candidates should possess skills in Pediatrics, with experience working with children with developmental and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
- Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; relevant registration or licensure as required by local regulations.
- Experience in early intervention, sensory integration, or developmental pediatric settings is highly beneficial.
- Ability to create structured therapy plans, manage caseloads efficiently, and maintain accurate documentation.
