🚨 We’re Hiring | Fashion Product Development – Baby Softlines
We are looking for a Fashion Product Development professional to join our team and manage the end-to-end development of our Baby Softline categories, including baby blankets, baby clothing sets, baby sleeping bags, and more.
🎓 Education:
- Graduate from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) preferred
- Fashion Design / Textile Design / Accessory Design background preferred
- Candidates from other reputed fashion institutes with relevant experience may also be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate vendors and manufacturers locally and globally.
- Drive end-to-end product development and NPD from concept and design through prototypes and final production.
- Work closely with design, technical, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop new collections.
- Develop and source fabrics, trims, materials, colours, prints, and other product components.
- Lead product improvements across design, colour, size, aesthetics, functionality, and construction.
- Manage vendor relationships, supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and product costs.
- Negotiate with manufacturers and analyse product costing to ensure commercial viability.
- Conduct regular fashion, fabric, colour, and seasonal trend research.
- Track sales performance and bestsellers to identify opportunities for new product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure products are launched as per timelines.
- Stay updated on emerging fashion and consumer trends, particularly within the baby and kids' category.
Ideal Candidate:
- NIFT graduate with a background in Fashion/Textile/Accessory Design.
- Experience in Product Development / NPD / Fashion Buying / Sourcing.
- Strong understanding of fabrics, colours, prints, garment/product construction and costing.
- Good knowledge of fashion and seasonal trends.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent eye for design, aesthetics and product detailing.
- Strong coordination and project management skills.
- Experience in baby, kids, apparel, home textiles or softline products will be an added advantage.
