Role Description The MS Fabric Data Architect will design, implement, and optimize data architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure data ecosystem for enterprise clients in India. This full-time, on-site role involves collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define data strategies, model data structures, and design end-to-end data pipelines for analytics, BI, and AI use cases. The individual will lead solution design, select appropriate Fabric components, oversee data ingestion, transformation, and storage patterns, and ensure scalability, performance, security, and governance across data platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating technical documentation, guiding development teams, reviewing solution quality, and contributing to best practices and reference architectures. The architect will also support pre-sales activities, participate in client workshops, and stay current with Microsoft Fabric and Azure innovations to recommend improvements and new capabilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric components (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines, Power BI integration) and Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
- Candidates should possess solid data architecture and modeling skills, including dimensional modeling, data vault or similar approaches, and experience designing scalable, cloud-native data platforms.
- Candidates should possess hands-on data engineering capabilities, including SQL development, ETL/ELT design, pipeline orchestration, and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
- Candidates should possess skills in data governance, security, and compliance, including role-based access control, data quality frameworks, metadata management, and regulatory alignment.
- Candidates should possess experience integrating analytics and BI solutions, particularly with Power BI and other visualization tools, supporting self-service analytics and enterprise reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead cross-functional teams.
