Core Skills:
- Linux OS Administration:
- Managing MicroStrategy Administration in a Linux-based environment (installation, configuration, monitoring, patching, Upgradation)
- Managing OS-level configurations, scripting bash automations, and troubleshooting system resources using command-line diagnostic tools
- MicroStrategy Core Administration & Automation:
- Managing Intelligence Server, Library Server, and Web server components.
- Automating enterprise administrative workflows using Command Manager, Object Manager, and Integrity Manager.
- Auditing usage, telemetry, and system adoption with Platform Analytics.
- Metadata & Data Warehouse Integration:
- Maintaining, upgrading, and backing up the MicroStrategy Metadata repository.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting SQL query generation and execution against the data warehouse.
- Application Performance Tuning & Diagnostics:
- Optimizing Intelligent Cubes, report/document caches, and governing settings.
- Analyzing DSSErrors.log and execution traces to resolve BI application bottlenecks.
- Data Source Connectivity & Database Optimization:
- Configuring Linux-level drivers and mapping them to MicroStrategy DB Instances, Connections, and Login objects, while tuning VLDB properties (joins, table creation, query hints) for database-optimized SQL execution.
- Security, Identity & SSL/TLS Management:
- Configuring SSO (SAML 2.0 / LDAP), user management, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and row-level Security Filters.
- Relevant certifications in security, identity management, or SSL/TLS protocols, along with experience in renewal and generation of security certificates.
Plus Skills:
- Cloud & Environment Orchestration (MicroStrategy CMC):
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization concepts, including managing containerized deployments, orchestrating environments, and understanding relevant domain practices.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, automated backups, and environment upgrades through the Cloud Management Console is a plus.
