Job Description
Bug Fixes & Maintenance
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve defects across the React frontend and NestJS backend.
Triage issues surfaced through Datadog APM, log analysis, and user-reported bugs. Fix regressions in campaign workflows, Q&A flows, webhook delivery, and email notifications.
Ensure all fixes are covered by unit tests and do not reduce overall test coverage.
Review and address security vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10 standards.
Feature Development
Design and implement new features end-to-end — from REST API contracts and MongoDB data models through to React UI components.
Extend the LangChain AI agent framework with new agent types (e.g. new summarisation strategies, assessment models, or report generators).
Build new campaign management capabilities including enhanced progress tracking, filtering, export formats, and notification workflows.
Develop new UI components (React + SCSS) consistent with existing design patterns.
Integrate new internal or third-party services through the APIGEE enterprise gateway.
Quality & Standards
Write and maintain unit tests using Jest and integration tests using Supertest.
Adhere to and enforce ESLint and Prettier code style rules across all contributions.
Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Keep JSDoc documentation up to date for all public APIs, services, and agents. Follow NX monorepo conventions and NestJS module boundaries.

Backend: NestJS (2+ years) — modules, guards, interceptors, dependency injection
Frontend: React 18 (2+ years) — hooks, context, React Router
Database: MongoDB — schema design, aggregations, indexing
Testing: Jest — unit and integration testing, mocking patterns
Auth: OAuth 2.0 / OIDC concepts; experience with JWT-based auth flows
API Design: RESTful API design; Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
Tooling: Git, ESLint, Prettier, npm
AI Tools: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to write, review, and debug code faster and more accurately — this is a firm requirement, not optional
General: TypeScript monorepo experience; strong debugging skills

- Proficiency in a modern frontend framework, ideally React
