JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Active participation in vendor research and analysis & Act as a link between planner and vendors to ensure clear communication and timely updates.
- Handle furniture orders from start to finish by working with client, vendors, QA team, and technicians to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work with factories on new product development and innovation, Work with the QA team to carry out inspections and ensure products meet quality standards and requirements.
- Prepare minutes of meeting & Keep regular and accurate records of production status.
- Effective client communication, Effective vendor communication & Stay in touch with vendors for raw materials, production updates, and resolving issues smoothly.
- Elevating issues and suggesting alternative to the team/client
- Sample review, assessment and dispatch
- Maintain and update sample tracker & Keep track of production timelines, identify delays, and fix issues to stay on schedule.
- Costing analysis and product negotiation & Get raw materials, finishes, and samples checked and approved before starting bulk production.
- Identify quality issues like breakage, finishing problems, or size variations, and work with vendors and QA team to fix them.
- Update and share comments with vendor and client
- Review callouts and suggest corrective action plan & Follow up with vendors to refresh expiring MCPs on time to avoid delays in shipment handover.
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements during production and dispatch.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Graduate with degree/diploma in Wood Science & Forestry.
- Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience in merchandising of wood products in Buying and Liaison Office.
- Negotiation & interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
