Role Description The MEP Project Engineer – HVAC & Piping Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The role involves planning, Execution & coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a strong focus on HVAC and piping for industrial and commercial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project specifications and drawings, preparing technical calculations, and ensuring that execution, installation meets the designs with the necessary safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The engineer will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to monitor installation activities, resolve technical issues, and maintain project timelines and budgets. Additional tasks include participating in procurement support, conducting inspections and testing, documenting project progress, and contributing to commissioning and handover activities.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with practical experience in HVAC and Piping installation and coordination.
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and equipment selection for HVAC and piping applications.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles related to power distribution, controls, and integration with mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in Plumbing system design, layout, and installation standards for industrial and commercial projects.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with industry standards and codes for MEP, HVAC, and piping; familiarity with EPC environments is an advantage.
- Competence in using engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), and MS Office for documentation and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and safety compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary
