Overview: The MEP Manager - HVAC at BHIVE Workspace plays a pivotal role in managing the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems across our facilities. This position requires a strategic thinker and hands-on professional who ensures the efficiency, reliability, and compliance of HVAC systems to create comfortable and sustainable workspaces for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the HVAC-related activities of multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
System Design and Implementation:
• Oversee the design and installation of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with building codes and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors for the integration of HVAC systems into overall MEP designs.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC systems across properties.
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage budgets for HVAC projects and maintenance.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure HVAC systems meet all regulatory and environmental standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
• Provide training and ensure adherence to company standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
o Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years' experience in corporate interior.
o Proven experience in designing MEP systems for large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Skills:
o Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.).
o Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Collaboration and communication: Proactive monitoring and collaboration with team members and internal departments are necessary to guarantee seamless operations at the centre.
