Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance (NABH Standards)
- Direct all clinical governance protocols, patient safety initiatives, infection control practices, and clinical quality audits.
- Lead and sustain NABH and NABL accreditation compliance across all clinical departments, clinical labs, and critical care units.
- Chair facility-level clinical committees including Quality Assurance, Infection Control, Pharmacovigilance, Ethics, and Mortality/Morbidity (M&M) Review Committees.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and clinical pathways aligned with Sterling Group standards.
2. Medical & Consultant Administration
- Oversee recruitment, credentialing, clinical privileging, and onboarding for full-time, visiting, and consultant doctors across specialties.
- Plan and manage duty rosters, emergency call schedules, resident medical officer (RMO) deployments, and ICU/OT clinical coverage 24/7.
- Monitor clinical throughput, OT turnaround times, ICU bed utilization, and clinical length of stay (LOS).
- Resolve patient/family clinical grievances, doctor disputes, and operational friction professionally and promptly.
3. Statutory, Regulatory & Medico-Legal Compliance
- Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and central healthcare regulations (PCPNDT, MTP Act, Biomedical Waste Management, Clinical Establishments Act, Organ Transplantation Act, Narcotics/NDPS Act).
- Act as the nodal authority for government health departments, local municipal authorities, police, medical councils, and regulatory bodies in Gandhidham/Kutch.
- Supervise the Medical Records Department (MRD), ensuring timely death reporting, birth registrations, legal disclosures, and electronic medical record (EMR) integrity.
- Handle medico-legal cases (MLC), post-mortem formalities, expert court testimonies, and legal notices in coordination with corporate legal teams.
4. Operational Coordination & Business Support
- Partner with the Facility Director, HR Head, and Marketing Head to support consultant empanelment, new clinical program launches (CoEs), and local health camps.
- Drive clinical cost optimization, pharmacy drug formulary adherence, and medical equipment utilization.
- Academic/CME Leadership: Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, clinical training sessions, and skill development workshops for resident clinical staff and nurses.
